Helping Hands Nepal is to conduct research, conservation efforts, and promote the well-being of key populations through initiatives focused on health, education, disaster risk reduction (DRR), and income generation. Our aim is to
foster an equitable society by addressing the needs of vulnerable communities and empowering them to lead healthier, more resilient, and sustainable lives.

Objectives of Helping Hands Nepal
- Conduct Research: Generate knowledge through research initiatives aimed at addressing key challenges facing Nepal, including socio-economic disparities, environmental degradation, and public health issues.
- Promote Innovation: Foster innovation and entrepreneurship by supporting local initiatives, technological advancements, and creative solutions that contribute to sustainable development and address pressing societal needs.
- Nature and Biodiversity Conservation: Protect and preserve Nepal’s rich natural heritage by implementing conservation projects, habitat restoration efforts, and wildlife protection measures.
- Bird Conservation: Support bird conservation programs to safeguard endangered bird species, promote habitat conservation, and raise awareness about the importance of avian biodiversity.
- Tourism Promotion: Enhance the tourism sector by promoting responsible tourism practices, developing eco-friendly tourism infrastructure, and showcasing Nepal’s diverse cultural and natural attractions to international and domestic travelers.
- Climate and Environment Protection: Take action to mitigate climate change impacts, promote renewable energy sources, reduce carbon emissions, and advocate for sustainable environmental policies.
- Plastics Waste Management: Implement strategies for effective waste management, including recycling initiatives, public awareness campaigns, and community-based waste reduction programs to address the growing problem of plastic pollution.
- Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR): Build resilience to natural disasters by conducting risk assessments, developing early warning systems, and implementing disaster preparedness and response plans to minimize the impact of disasters on vulnerable communities.
- Promote Safe Behaviors: Promote safe behaviors and healthy lifestyles by raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse, tobacco use, and other harmful habits, and providing education and support for individuals to adopt positive behaviors.
- Health and Education: Improve access to healthcare services, promote health education, and enhance educational opportunities for all segments of society, particularly marginalized communities and underserved regions.
- Poverty Alleviation: Implement poverty alleviation programs that focus on income generation, skills development, and livelihood support to uplift disadvantaged individuals and communities out of poverty.
- Local Job Opportunity Development: Create employment opportunities at the local level by supporting small-scale enterprises, vocational training programs, and sustainable livelihood initiatives that empower communities and reduce dependency on external sources.
- Organic Agriculture Promotion: Encourage the adoption of organic farming practices, provide training and technical assistance to farmers, and promote organic certification to enhance the sustainability and profitability of agriculture in Nepal.
- Promote New Technologies: Facilitate the adoption of innovative technologies, such as renewable energy systems, digital platforms, and efficient agricultural practices, to improve productivity, enhance livelihoods, and address development challenges in remote and landlocked areas of Nepal.

- Water and Sanitation:
Ensure universal access to safe drinking water and sanitation facilities.
Implement sustainable water resource management practices to conserve water and prevent pollution.
Promote hygiene education and behavior change interventions to improve public health outcomes - Governance and Democracy:
Strengthen democratic institutions and processes to ensure transparency, accountability, and participation.
Foster civic engagement and empower marginalized communities in decision-making processes.
Combat corruption and promote the rule of law to uphold democratic values and principles. - Counselling, Rehabilitation, and Referral Services:
Provide comprehensive mental health and psychosocial support services to individuals and communities in need.
Establish rehabilitation, Drug, Tobacco control programs for vulnerable populations survivors, including survivors of trauma, addiction,Tip, Disability, disaster, war and violence.
Strengthen referral networks and collaboration between health, social, and support services to ensure holistic care and recovery. - Human-Wildlife Conflict Management:
Develop and implement strategies to mitigate conflicts between human populations and wildlife.
Promote coexistence through community-based conservation initiatives and sustainable land-use planning and habitat management, Plantation core area, dam management for wildlife flora and Fauna
Provide support for affected communities, including compensation schemes and conflict resolution mechanisms. - Culture, custom and Humanity development:
Foster a global environment where cultural diversity is celebrated, traditional customs are respected, and humanitarian values of empathy, compassion, and solidarity prevail, promoting understanding and cooperation among communities worldwide
